5 Skin Care Reminders For Women In Their 20s

Skin Care

Now that you’re in your 20s, it’s time to acknowledge your skin at its prime. You’ll notice at this stage, you’re either getting less or more breakouts or a more glowing and healthier skin in comparison when you were in our late teens.

This is all possible—achieving a healthy and more beautiful skin in your twenties. Only of course, if you do take good care of your skin and take your beauty routine religiously. Do you wash your makeup off before you go to bed? Have you cut back on greasy foods and sweets? Do you always wear sunscreen? Do you wash your makeup brushes and sponges?

Let this be a quick reminder that you need to take good care of your skin otherwise, signs of aging could sneak in your lines earlier than it should.

Remove your makeup before snoozing off

How many times do we have to remind you to remove your makeup every night? Whatever happens, you have no reasonable excuse to skip this part! Yes, if it took you hours to party and chug on some beer or tequilas, it shouldn’t be a bother to take 5 mins to wash and cleanse your face.

Makeup clogs your pores which then leads to a breakout. No one wants a breakout or an occasional surprise zit every once in a while. If you’re really a little lazy, buy yourself a micellar water which you can use with a cotton pad to wipe off the makeup off your face pronto.

Hydrate and moisturize

Drink enough water throughout the day. Both your body and skin will thank you for keeping yourself hydrated in and out.

And if you want to keep your skin radiant and at its best, you should swear by moisturizing and keep it in your skincare routine. If you fail to moisturize, you trigger the risk of dry skin which then can lead to fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet. More to that, it causes the skin to lose its elasticity and firmness which a lot of women yearn for a younger looking skin.

Wear sunscreen

If you’re one of those who knowingly skip sunscreen in their routine, you should break that habit now. You don’t want to develop sunspots, do you?

When looking for sunscreens, do keep an eye on those that are labeled with “broad spectrum,” “fragrance-free,” “non-comedogenic,” and contains SPF 30 or higher. If you find one with the combination of these, it’s a guarantee that it will keep your skin clear and protected from the harsh rays of the sun.

Watch what you eat

You’re in your twenties. Yes, you have all the right to have fun but don’t make it to a point where all the “fun” starts backfiring on your skin.

Say bye-bye to your every Friday tequilas and packs of cigarettes. Keep these vices in moderation if you can’t completely put an end to them. Slow down on sugary sweets as well as greasy and oily foods.

Get enough sleep

Seriously, if you want to reduce the puffiness under your eyes and most of all, the look of exhaustion and dullness painted all over your face, get 8- if not, 7 hours of sleep daily.
